Cubicle Chic

I know I said I wasn't going to post about work anymore, but this is pretty cool. We moved buildings at work and got moved into a 6x6 cube. To make my sad situation work for me, I decided to decorate my cube. It turned out pretty good and I've had a ton of compliments.

I started with my inspiration piece. My bird coat hanger for UO. I also got my bird bank from UO. The wallpaper is actually a picnic table cover from ikea I got last summer. I had to do some bargain shopping so most of the accessories came from ikea. I found my other ceramic bird at Michaels, and the brocade frame came from target.

After decorating my cube, It really feels like I am sitting at home working. I really don't see the cube anymore. I'm really glad that my manager was very supportive while I was creating this world for myself. Maybe this can be my new calling. Cube Decorator.

Great look! Neat that you had a boss who gave you the go ahead. You made the cube look livable.

I love this! I am about to go back into the work force and I would love to be able to make my desk so light and airy! I am guessing your office encourages this kind of thing? Love love love it! I found your blog through the blog Sunset via Stumbleupon.com! Both very creative.

I love this! I wish my workspace was as pretty. Or even my desk at home.

Love it! Can you tell me the name of the monitor stand from Ikea? Really want that. Thanks!

Very cool! How did you adhere the "wallpaper" to the cubicle walls?

That photo totally jumped out at me while reading Neatorama. Like... Hey! I know that cube - walk by it everyday on the way back from the kitchen (aka jungledome). It's quite creative and very inspirational. You should host a TV show...like Extreme Cube Makeover, Cube Appeal, Trading Cubicles.

Awesome! I'm also about to re-enter the working world and would love to be able to do this. Give me a few weeks... :) Really fun idea!
